Under 14's PJDYFL Division 3
Cowan Park
07 December 2014
With this being the last game before a break in fixtures this season, Stamperland knew this would be tough. They played Langcraigs in the opening game of the season and knew they were a physical side so we had to get the boys up for it today.
With the rain lashing down at Cowan park and a strong wind Stamperland really played some great football again today, and they opened the scoring. Great play down the right with Dominic and Raheem, resulted in Dominic getting a shot away and the defence missing it and the keeper was caught out, 1-0.
Stamperland tried so hard to find that killer second goal playing some great football in the middle of the park through Adam and Matthew Bell finding both Raheem and Scot down the wings and also Dominic playing in a much deeper role than normal but what a shift he put in.
Unfortunately Langcraigs cut open the home sides defence and equalised.
Half Time : Stamperland Juniors 1-1 Langcraigs FC
Stamperland knew the game was there for the taking, however their intensity dropped off a little.
As a result Langcraigs went ahead, with their striker finding himself with nobody around and having an easy slot home, putting his side 2-1 up.
Stamperland didn't let their heads drop and went on the search for an equaliser, however Langcraigs broke up the park and scored, sealing victory with minutes left.
