Lenzie faced old foes EDFC at Chryston 3G on Saturday in the CKDYL Condorrat Cup first round.
Both teams had chances in the first half but both keepers were in fine form to keep the scoreline at 0-0.
Until, Lenzie took the lead minutes before the break when a clearance cannoned off McConnon and guided itself into the net.

The second half saw the home side push forward, going in search for another goal.
The second goal came when Tucker was first to react to a loose ball which dropped inside the six yard box from a Burns, which saw Tucker fire the ball home.
Then, from a Tedeschi cross Elliot then scored a similar goal after a scramble in the box, make the score line 3-0 and giving Lenzie a comfortable lead.
The Lenzie striker Buchanan then ran onto a Cairney pass to cooly slot home a great left footed shot, extending the home sides lead.
EDFC kept pressing and were rewarded with a goal on the sixty five minute mark, reducing the deficit.
With time running out Tucker fired the ball low into the net following a good move involving Douglas, Inglis, Craig & Murray.
