It was a great game of football between two good footballing teams that like to play the game the way it should be.

Credit to EKFC Gold they where unlucky not to go in at half time in front. That was down to a superb performance from our goalkeeper Grant McKenzie. He was top class yet again in goal.

However, at half time we regrouped, changed formation to nulify the threat EKF C where causing first half and allow us to cause them problems in the second half. We also made a couple of personnel changes as well.

Our players in the second half deserve a lot credit for the way they rose to the occassion and made their intentions known when the game restarted. We unlucky not to get a penalty shortly before EKFC went into the lead. To be fair, I thought it was hard on our players when we lost the goal in the second half. They where in the accendecy and we got punished by losing and giving away needless possession in the EKFC half.

However, we dusted ourselves down and got back into the game . Ryan Officer scored a terrific equaliser and then we got a deserved winner thanks to Ryan Officer again and his anticipation to follow in Taylor McConnells shot that crashed off the bar.

Full Time: EKFC Gold 2-3 St Mirren
