The game started with Baillieston defending a strong wind but it was them that started the strongest and nearly took the lead with 5 minutes played when Paterson narrowly missed after a great cross from Brannigan.
Baillieston took the lead in the 15th minute when a corner was missed by everyone and the ball found Lee Martin wide on the right. His cross was met by the head of Dale Dickson who scored from inside the six yard box.

This spurred Johnstone Burgh and they had two great chances to score but Thomson saved well. But with 5 minutes to half time they equalised, Thomson in the Baillieston goal dropped a cross and Skinner scored despite a last ditch challange from Baillieston defender Gallagher.
