PGBC 2004s Orange
Today saw the Port travel to Ferguslie park to take on St Andrews, with the Port starting the match the better team and were unlucky to be caught on the counter attack with a long ball from St Andrews, a bit of hesitation at the back allowed the St Andrews player to nip in between the goalie and defender and put the ball back in the net. A bit disappointing to lose a goal in this manner as we've worked really hard on it in training in the last few weeks.
As the game went on the Port managed to get back into it thanks to a Raymond Keyes goal, Raymond building on his performance from last week and capping it off well, with the scores level at half time and a few changes the port started the second half the better team, with chances for St Andrews few and far between it was the Port who were to take the lead with a fine strike from Peter Ingram, Peter picking up a loose ball and thundering a shot in off the underside of the bar.
As the game wore on a few careless moments and miscommunication at the back could have let St Andrews back in to the game but the Port weathered the storm, regained their composure and eventually put the game to bed with a goal from Marc McDonald which sealed the Ports victory.
The boys can take a lot of character from the game, going a goal down they never gave up dug deep and got the result they deserved.

PGBC 2004s Black
The Port boys entertained Linwood Rangers BC at the community complex Parklea this weekend. In the first half the Port battled away but failed to make the most of the chances created with the away side more clinical in front of goal taking a few of their chances to lead at half time.
The second half of the match saw the Port boys work even harder than the first eventually finding the breakthrough with a hard fought goal. The remainder of the half saw the boys create numerous opportunities in front of goal just lacking the finish when Linwood where making their chances count.
Credit to McDougall in the Port goal, who made some fantastic stops on the day to keep the score line which already flattered the away side down. Credit to all the boys for working hard right till the end.
The boys were playing some good football in spells and are continuing to learn with every match. Goalscorer Weston.

PGBC 13s 5-3 Glenvale
Port welcomed Glenvale to Parklea on Wednesday night and opened the scoring really early when Ryan Phillips cross from the back post was met by the incoming Declan Adair.
Glenvale hit back straight away after Port failed to clear their lines, but Jack Anderson then played a nice ball to Ryan Phillips who put Port ahead with a good strike. Port then got out of jail when Glenvale sent a penalty kick past the post and then good digging from Scott Marshall in midfield saw him set up Ryan Phillips who lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box.
Port then got a penalty of their own after a hand ball in the box, up stepped Brandon McCabe to put Port further ahead. Ryan Phillips then rounded off his hat-trick when he got onto the end of Declan Adair's free kick into the box. Glenvale pulled another back right on the stroke of half time with a long ball through everyone.
Early in the second half Glenvale won their second penalty of the match, but Port got lucky again when the kick again was pulled wide of the post. A good pass from Ross McKay to Ryan Phillips saw his shot just go past the post, Scott Marshall got Ports last chance of the match but his strike made the Glenvale keeper pull off a great save.
Glenvale got the last goal of the match right at the death again from a long ball through the entire Port team.
Referees Man of the Match - Scott Marshall
PGBC 13s 0-11 Clydebank Colts
In this Scottish cup tie Port found themselves up against a very strong 1st division team. Port found it hard to break their opponents down throughout the match and the score line could have been worse if keeper Dimitris Cameron hadn't been on hand with some great saves in the first half earning him the referee’s man of the match.
Port got more involved in the second half but still struggled to break through.

PGBC 21s 2-5 Pollock Juveniles
This was a hard fought game for the Port in the Scottish Cup. The Port dominated the first half in every department and went in at the break 2-1 up.
Pollock were the stronger team in the second half and a few scrappy goals near the end of the game put us out. The effort couldn't be faulted from all the boys but they just ran out of steam in the end.
Goals from Colin Stevenson and Ross McLaughlin and a good display from Ross Boyland who stood in for Robbie in goal .
Men of the matches were Aidan McMillan and Ross McLaughlin.
The 21s are still looking for players to strengthen their squad. Anyone interested contact Tam on 07960889660.
