Competition: Paisley, Johnstone and District YFL
Venue: Mountblow
Date: 12/09/2015

Antonine welcomed Barrhead Colts to Mountblow on a day of terrible weather but the park was in excellent condition. Antonine started on the front foot with Lewis Smith and Danny Hamilton forced the Colts goalkeeper into a couple of excellent saves to keep the game.

After 12 minutes, a Scott Hutton through ball was flicked on by Smith and Hamilton beat his marker, rounded the keeper to open the scoring with his 10th goal of the season. Smith and Dom Cairney came close before Antonine doubled their lead on the half-hour mark. A slick passing move involving Harry Shaw, Chris Donaghy, Cairney and Smith led to Smith being left one-on-one with the keeper and made no mistake to score his 13th goal of the season.

After 38 minutes, Hamilton beat two players and crossed for Cairney to fire home with his third of the season to make it 3-0.

A minute before half time a long ball found the Colts striker who slotted home to reduce the deficit.

Half Time: Antonine FC 3-1 Barrhead Colts

Normal service resumed after the break. First up, Shaw fired just wide before Donaghy beat the defender and his shot grazed the post.

With 20 minutes to go, Hamilton was fouled in the box but Brendan Kelly's penalty was saved by the keeper. Cairney,Hamilton and Smith all had further chances to score but the game finished with no increase in the scoreline.

The result keeps Antonine five points cleat at the top of the league, and they travel to Cardonald Thistle next weekend..
