Another large crowd was in attendance East Kilbride lifted the Central Region Cup, beating Harmony Row. EK had beaten the Harmony Row team from the Glasgow & District YFL three days earlier. This time they came up against the Row team from the Paisley & District league, and beat them by the same 2-0 scoreline.

They were behind after just two minutes when Gavin Miller headed home from a cross to give EK a lead.

The game then settled down as Harmony Row pressed for an equaliser but nothing that was too troubling for EK to deal with. Their best chance in the 24th minute when Kyle Wilson's volley was saved by Bradley Main.

The first half finished with both teams struggling to make clear-cut chances. Harmony  Row had a good period of possession but were unable to breach the EK defence with their final ball.

The second half started as the first half had finished, with a battle in midfield. The referee then had another decision to make as Gavin Millar was brought down on the edge of the area, but EK were unable to convert the free kick.

After this the game went into another lull as both team battled for supremacy. Harmony Row nearly levelled when Wilson had his effort saved.

EK then had a chance to double the lead after Ryan White whipped a ball in but Scott Brodie could not get the right connection on the ball.

Harmony Row made their task even harder when Daniel Kelly was sent off for two bookable offence.

EK made the most of it and doubled their lead after a free kick was whipped in and headed home by Fraser Robertson for a two-goal lead with minutes to go.

EKFC won the double were clearly delighted as the final whistle went.
