A hotly anticipated final was in store for all in attendance at Petershill Park, and Glenvale completed a memorable treble season.
It was Glenvale rose to the occasion early on with a shot going narrowly over the crossbar just minutes into the game. The game was flowing from end-to-end with St Andrews having early chances, a throughly entertaining start to the match.
The game began to settle down with some possession in the middle of the park with a long shot from Douglas sailing past goal. Then, Liam McMenemy hit a shot and the St Andrews goalkeeper Lewis Faller making a good save. Again Glenvale attacked with Declan Curran's driving a shot goalwards which was beaten away again by Faller.
The rest of the first half was a midfield battle until five minutes before the break. Glenvale's wonderfully struck corner was headed over by Liam Houston.
The deadlock was broken soon after when Sam Walters ended a good passing move by Glenvale with a powerful effort to give his side the lead.
