Lourdes High School claimed their first Glasgow Cup since 1973 after beating St. Peter the Apostle High School in a close final. Goals from Lewis McCracken, Abdul Yusuf and Mitchell McDonald secured them a hard fought win, after St. Peters put up a tough fight to give everyone watching a thrilling mornings entertainment.
The first half started slow with two chances falling to both sides. Connor Higgins had the chance of the half after Daniel Hamilton's searching ball forward found Tony Gallagher who squared it for Higgins but he could not sort his feet out in time and blasted high over.
The Clydebank side kept their head up and Owen Gallagher had a half chance from a Dominic Cairney cross. He could only glance the header wide of the goal. Lourdes also had chances and the pick of them fell to Lewis McCraken who hit the post and can count himself unlucky not to put his side in the lead.
