St Peters claimed a hard-fought victory over Hermitage Academy to book their place in the RS McColl Cup final.  Goals from Tony Gallacher, Connor Higgins (2) and Adam Boyle gave the Clydebank side the victory as they showed their true capability towards the end of the game.
The game got off to a slow start and it took 27 minutes for the first real chance of the game to come after Daniel Hamilton's cross was met by the head of Connor Higgins who could only divert it wide.
The home side took the lead after Tony Gallacher finished off a mazy run with just five minutes to go until half time.
It was a scrappy first half that fell St Peters way after a shaky start with everyone on the touchline looking for more from a close game.

The second half started much faster than the first and Hermitage got back on level terms. Caleb Phipps' shot bamboozled keeper Joel Hinde to level the scores.

Both sides then struggled to create chances until St Peters made a tactical change, putting Connor Higgins up top with Adam Boyle. Higgins had St Peters back in front soon after this change. He picked the ball up, drove to the byline, and dribbled past the defenders before slotting home to give his team the lead.

Higgins had his second goal a few minutes later after rounding Hermitage's brilliant  goalkeeper Joe Drover.

The scoring was completed by Adam Boyle who picked the ball up around the half way line and placed home through the keepers' legs. This sealed a 4-1 victory for St. Peters but Hermitage can be happy as they gave a much better account than the last time the two teams met.

For St Peters the double dream lives on.

Magic Moment
St Peter The Apostle HS
Hermitage Academy
Connor Higgins' near miss in the first half. Some excellent football leading up to it. Sadly for the Clydebank side he could not finish but in the end the goal was not needed.
A scrappy game and the away side did not provide much threat. The keeper's magnificent saves could be classed as 'magic' but the away team just could not get a solid foothold in the game.
