St Peter The Apostle claimed an impressive victory over Hermitage Academy to give them their fifth victory in a row.
First half goals from Connor Higgins' gave them a well deserved lead at half time, in the second half Adam Boyle and Daniel Hamilton grabbed themselves a goal each, then a late Hermitage penalty taken by Sean Cox gave them something to cheer about after being pinned in for so long after a magnificent performance for the home team.
The game started in St. Peters favour with chances falling to Boyle and a header over the bar from Brendan Kelly being the pick of the chances until the 30th minute when Connor Higgins laced a shot from 25 yards leaving the keeper helpless and giving the home side a deserved lead.
This lead was increased just 4 minutes after the restart. Again Higgins picked up the ball from 25 yards and picking his place he scored yet again giving the home side a 2 goal lead going into the interval.
The away side struggled on such a poor pitch and the weather certainly never done either side any favours.

The second half started similar to the first, St. Peters creating chances but being unable to finish them.
Owen Gallagher hit the post from 6 yards out. However, Danny Hamilton made up for Gallagher missing this chance after being played through from a long kick from Goalkeeper Joel Hinde, Hamilton got in behind the defence he slotted home.
Chances continued to fall for the home side and they extended their lead after Connor Higgins shot was parried to Adam Boyle who finished neatly from 10 yards.
The home side were now cruising, however the away side did get a penalty after sub goalkeeper Michael Doak brought down Dominic O'Donnell and Sean Cox penalty was finished, giving the away side something to be proud about.
St Peters went after more goals, with Connor Higgins going on a mazy run only to hit the post, he was so unlucky not to grab his hat trick with the excellent solo effort.
Hermitage must now pick themselves up as they play St Peters again in the semi final of the Glasgow cup, they will be hoping to have key players back in order to have a better chance of getting the result they would like.

Christopher Donaghy: played well and kept his focus wasn't always needed but when he was he was solid at the back, also passed the ball wall on a difficult surface.
Ross McLean: hard day at the office for the back four but kept the team motivated, from start to finish.
Magic Moment

Created many chances hard to pick one, but when Owen Gallagher hit the post has to be the best, real good play to set it up but a divot on the pitch didn't help him.
Sadly the away side only registered one shot and that was the penalty kick, however the play leading up to it was promising and the resulting spot kick was taken well.
