This September, Youth Football Scotland (YFS) Radio will go to air with the station’s first ever live commentary from a Scotland National Team youth match.
The big kick off is on Wednesday 4th September. Italy visit Scotland in an Under 16 match to whet the appetite ahead of the Sky Sports Victory Shield campaign. The match takes place at Starks Park, home of Raith Rovers, and you can listen to the live broadcast from 19:15, with kick off at 19:30. You can visit the dedicated page on the YFS Radio website by clicking here.
Head of YFS Radio, Robert Wilson said “It’s a wonderful first Scotland international match to commentate on. Listeners will have the chance to hear how Scotland’s upcoming stars fare against players from Juventus, Milan, Inter and Roma to name but a few.
Scotland’s squad for the match includes players representing Celtic, Rangers, Arsenal, Hearts and Hibs.
Last season YFS Radio provided live commentary from the Scotland Under 18 schoolboy international against England; the SFA Youth Cup final; the SYFA Challenge Cup finals and the SWF Youth Cup finals.
