The Coylton and Glenafton game would be an influential match on the league. Both teams battled hard and knew that the first goal would be vital to decide the game.
A free kick was won by Coylton in the Glens half, which quickly lead to a counter attack and Coylton soon found the net from it.
Glenafton tried to hit back from kick off, they progressed up to the Coylton box but saw their shot go over by a few inches.
Coylton then from the goal kick, played the ball out wide and the winger dribbled up the left channel. He crossed the ball in and found the back of the net thanks too some wreckless keeping.
Shortly after the Glens looked for an instant response and played a quick counter attack which forced the Coylton defender to bring down the opposing striker in the box. The spot kick was taken and scored, shortly after the whistle blew for half time.
The second half consisted of no real great chances but was a hard half for both teams, tackles flew in from everywhere ending in some players being taken off injured. Coylton managed to hold on to the 2-1 win to secure all three points and see them stay at the top of the league.
