With both teams looking to edge out as winners ensuring them the easier tie in the semi final draw later today this match started lively, with the pressure off both sides qualifying for the semi finals they knew they were both through to the semi finals regardless however this result would also determine the opponents from the other group.
Daizel didn't take long to make the breakthrough taking advantage of some sloppy defending in the Phoenix rearguard, 12 minutes in and having to come from behind wasn't on the script, however to compound matters further just after the opener Phoenix were then reduced to 10 men, consequence of a moment of madness by the normally influential Jack Ryan who after picking up an early yellow for talking back kicked the ball away in frustration a short time later.
Was this to kill of Phoenix's hopes of finishing the group on top.

With the second half underway it was a pretty scrappy affair largely due to what was at stake, however as the half wore on Phoenix's 10 brave solders continued with their onslaught on the Dalziel goal, eventually with a free kick awarded just outside the area Phoenix's Logan Craig delivered another inch perfect cross toward the back post which was met effectively by Robert Steele who powered home another bullet header.
1-1 and enough for Phoenix to top the group on Goal Diff, and nothing more than they deserved after playing the majority of this match with ten men.
