Bannerman HS Seniors vs St Andrew's Secondary Seniors
SSFA Schools Shield - Round 3
Bannerman High School's senior squad booked their place in the fourth round of the national cup competition with a convincing victory over Glasgow rivals St Andrew's Secondary.
The home side got off to the perfect start when Lee Martin rose highest to head home from a set piece. The lead was soon doubled when Andy Quail slipped through Gavin Mitchell who slotted it past the keeper to make it 2-0.
Mitchell was once again on the scoresheet in the fortieth minute, this time owing to good build up play from Connor Brannigan, before blasting the ball in the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
No goals were forthcoming in the second half, meaning Bannerman progress and await the winner of Renfrew HS and Paisley Grammar, to see who they take on in Round 4.
