LK Galaxy Under 16s vs Irvine Youth 96's
Scottish Cup 3rd Round
The game was played on a very heavy pitch but at times there was still some very good football played , especially from Irvine Youth who created chance after chance . Irvine took the lead with a well taken goal from Dylan Kirk early in the first half  then against the run of play Galaxy levelled with a great strike from their no.9 but every person attending could see that the Irvine defence had played him at least 3 yards offside but still the goal stood . Irvine then restored their lead when a great ball was put through to Deklyn Cartledge who calmly stuck the ball past the advancing keeper .Into the second half and  Man of the match Dale Clark on the right wing was a thorn in the Galaxy side all day with his forward runs and creating chances galore with his crosses , had a good shot saved by the home keeper , and appart from 2 really good saves from the Irvine keeper Kyle McLelland it was almost one way traffic towards the galaxy goal . The scoreline flattered Galaxy as it could and should have been a lot more , but Irvine  deservedly go through to the 4rth round without even getting into top gear on the heavy pitch .
