Scottish Youth FA Cup 2019 Finalists confirmed

Back in September 2018 hundreds of teams from across the country began their Scottish Cup journeys and now, for each age group, we finally have our finalists.
The road to May's showpiece event in Airdrie has been a long and challenging one for all teams involved and YFS has been privilaged to be along for the journey. Congratulations to this year's inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup finalists and good luck in May!
Airdrieonians Real BC vs Dyce BC

Airdrieonians Real BC
Real will have home advantage for the final this year, so to speak, and have been extremely impressive on their run this season. Their semi-final victory against Blantyre SA will surely be a highlight for the youngsters, booking their place at the home of Hamilton Accies.

3rd Round: Bonnyrigg Rose Reds - 4-0 (H)
4th Round: Dyce BC Whites - 3-0 (H)
5th Round: Drumchapel United - 8-0 (H)

Quarter-Finals: St Patricks Sports Academy - 3-1 (A)
Semi-Finals: Blantyre SA - 3-1 (A)
Dyce BC
Dyce's appearance at the finals will be the only appearance from an Aberdeenshire side across all age groups this year. Cove Youth were the regions sole representatives last year, as they came up short against Hutchison Vale. Dyce will be hoping to better that outcome.

Kerse United vs Knightswood FC

Kerse United
The Grangemouth-based side had to wait a little longer than usual to book their place in the final, but did so in fine fashion, securing a 5-3 victory over Glenbrae Colts to reach the final. This is a side with plenty of goals in them, which should make the U14s final very entertaining.

5th Round: Hampden Weir Recreation - 4-0 (H)

Knightswood FC
Knightswood were the last team to book their place in the final, after having their semi-final match postponed twice. It would be worth the wait though, as they overcame 2006 age group champions Hutchison Vale at Oriam to seal their spot in Airdrie.

Tynecastle FC vs Musselburgh Windsor

It's been a long journey to the final for Tynecastle FC. They've come through some very hard games on their way, including a narrow victory over last years 2004 age group champions Spartans. They will be looking to avenge their loss to Musselburgh in the SERYFA Division 1 League Cup when the two clash in Airdrie.

Musselburgh Windsor
Windsor go into the cup final with a win over Tynecastle already this season, and will certainly know what to expect from their opponents in the final. They have only conceded five goals in the tournament, something that will give the SERYFA side confidence.

Giffnock SC vs Longniddry Villa

Giffnock SC
Giffnock will be looking to overcome last season's 2003 age group champions in this years final. The Paisley and Johnstone side came through a tough game against Finnart in the semi-finals to book their place in the final against Villa.

Longniddry Villa
Longniddry come into this game as reigning champions, something that will give the SERYFA side an advantage as they prepare for their West Region opponents. A narrow victory against Barrhead in the semi-finals set up their return to Airdrie.

Fairmuir BC vs Glenvale AFC

Fairmuir will be the only representatives from teh DDYFA taking part in this years finals and face a tough task as they take on defending champions Glenvale. A highlight in their journey will undoubtedly be a fantastic win over Ferry Athletic at Tannadice.

Glenvale AFC
Glenvale will be competing in their third consecutive final this year and will be looking to lift their second straight trophy in May. Experience at this stage could be a defining factor and Glenvale will certainly be calling on that experience to help them retain their crown.

Kirkintilloch had to endure a tense and nervy semi-final agaisnt last years finalists Syngenta Juveniles to book their place on the 19th. Beating Syngenta will have definitely proved to be a huge confidence boost for Rob Roy as they prepare for another tough game in the final.

Harmony Row
The Paisley and Johnstone team came through a tough game against last years champions EKFC Blues in order to book their place in Airdrie. It looks as though we are in for a competitive game in May.

Barrhead vs Rutherglen Glencairn
Friday 17th May, 7:30pm
Barrhead booked their place in the final in emphatic fashion, securing a big win over Rossvale in the semis to earn the place and their shot at glory.

Semi Final: Rossvale - 6-2 (H)
Rutherglen Glencairn
Rutherglen booked their spot after a good win against Shettleston Juniors. They face a difficult task getting the better of Barrhead and should play a great part in the opening game of the Scottish CUp weekend.
