Ayr Boswell started the game in there usual quick manner an would have taken an early lead barring a wonderful save by the Galston goalkeeper after a good run and strike by Arran Sawyer.
Galston were more than holding there own and although Boswell was having more of the play they were finding the Galston midfield an defence hard to breakdown and on two occasions Galston hit Boswell with some fine counter attacking football and had both chances cleared of the line by Lee Barratt which kept the scoreline at 0-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half started with Boswell kicking off an going on the attack and pinning Galston back deep into their own half.
Then the breakthrough came when a cross, come shoot was hit by Euan Muir which totally bamboozled the Galston goalkeeper just dropping over his head into the back of the net.
Both teams made a few substitutes and it was a Boswell substitute Kieran Goudie that added the second stealing in at the back post for a tap in.
Galston were now finding the going hard as Boswell were starting to control the game, the third goal came from a bit of quick thinking with Ross Copeland taking a quick free kick and Euan Muir grabbing his second with a fine header and effectively killing the game off.
Galston never gave up and were rewarded with a goal five minutes from time after a good passage of play.
