Written by

Fixture: Stewarton Annick v Glenburn MW
Competition: Under 15's WOSYFL "B" League
Date: 14/02/15
There were perfect conditions for a decent game of football on Saturday.
Glenburn came out the traps flying and were rewarded a penalty after only twenty seven secs, after Luke Watson got upended.
Andy Martin stepped up but the Stewarton goaly made a tremendous block to keep the score level. But he made amends in the seventh min when a lovely through ball from Blair McMeechan, was clinically dispatched by top scorer Martin.
The game was a tremendous advertisement for youth football with two teams getting the ball down and trying to pass and move.
Stewarton clawed there way into the game on the half hour mark when a stonewall penalty was awarded and Stevenson duly buried with aplomb.
Half Time : Stewarton Annick 1-1 Glenburn MW
Stewarton, with their tails up were looking for a second, as they had the upper hand for the next twenty minutes but couldn't break down a resolute defense and goalkeeper.
A few tactical alterations by both teams were done to try and manufacture a victory.
And this happened for Glenburn on the seventy eighth minute after a goalmouth scramble, predator Declan Holland, was at the right place, right time to give the league leaders another valuable three points.
This result puts Glenburn eight points clear now at the top of the table.
