Under 19's South East Region Cup Quarter Final

Whitburn JFCA hosted Stenhousemuir FC in the quarter final of this year's South East Regiona cup final this weekend, with both sides coming from the very strong and competitive West Lothian league.

The two sides had perviously met earlier in the season, with Whitburn emerging victorious on that occassion, however sides from the West Lothian league are capable of beating each other in any game.

The game got underway in very heavy conditions, with the pitch tearing up under feet.

Stenhousemuir took the lead twice in the first half, however Whitburn bounce back to draw even going into half time.

Half Time : Whitburn JFCA 2-2 Stenhousemuir FC

Once again, Stenhousemuir took the lead in a match which was placed at a ferocious pace, with both sides playing very good football, given the conditions.

However, the Stenhousemuir lead lasted just ten minutes, as Whitburn once again equalised.

The next goal was going to be crucial. It went Whitburn's way, putting themselves in front with seven minutes to play.

As the game was drawing to a close, Whitburn managed to grab themselves a further two goals in quick succession in injury time, netting on the ninety fourth and sixth minute, to put the match out of Stenhousemuir's reach.

An excellent achievement from Whitburn, coming from behind three times to emerge victorious.

Whitburn will now face Dunipace in the semi final, who are currently unbeaten in the West Lothian league from their first six matches, this will surely be a cracker.
