Hutchison Vale won 4-2 on penalties in a tight match between Newcraighall Leith Vics to win the Peter O’Neill Cup.
They managed to keep their cool scoring all their penalties as the game finished 1-1 after extra time with both teams having a number of chances during the thrilling match.
Hutchison Vale almost had a dream start when Daniel Lock lobbed the keeper in the third minute but Tylar McGee pulled off a great save.
The first real chance for Newcraighall came in the eleventh minute as James Henderson put a great ball into the box from a free kick but Mark Tennant narrowly headed the ball wide.
Just as Newcraighall started to dominate the game, Hutchison Vale got the first goal of the game after a goalkeeper error.
McGee spilled the ball from what looked like an easy save and all Brandon Blair had to do was guide the ball into the back of the net in the 26th minute.
Newcraighall never let that bother them and continued to threaten in the final third.
They were unlucky once again in the 2nd minute of added time when James Smith hit the crossbar.
