The last time the two teams met Blackhall strolled out 3-0 winners so the Bonnyrigg players knew they were in for a tough match against the league leaders and they were not disappointed.
Bonnyrigg started the game brightly and quickly started to open up the Blackhall defence with Reece Bertram coming close with a drive from outside the box but for all the Bonnyrigg pressure Blackhall were proving a tough nut to crack and the first half looked like ending 0-0.
Then with 5 minutes to go Josh Grahame cut in from the left beating two players in the process and smashed a shot high into the Blackhall net for his 8th goal of the season.
Half Time: Blackhall Athletic 0-1 Bonnyrigg Rose
The second half continued with Bonnyrigg pilling on the pressure and were rewarded with a second goal with Ethan Singh converting a cross form the right hand side but within minutes of the restart Blackhall had brought it back to 2-1.
With the game on a knife edge Reece Bertram put in another excellent cross from the right which was eventually put in the Blackhall net by Josh Grahame for his second goal of the game and restore Bonnyrigg's 2 goal lead.
Blackhall however did not give up and from a cross into the box their striker fired a fine first time volley high into the Bonnyrigg net to set up a tense last 10 minutes.
However, Bonnyrigg kept going and secured a fine 3-2 victory over the league leaders.
Man of the match was Bonnyriggs Arron Abrahams who had a fine game in the middle of the park.
Full Time: Blackhall Athletic 2-3 Bonnyrigg Rose
