Milton travelled to Armadale expecting to take the points this week but it was a more close called mtch than predicted.
Armadale have been competing in the lower half of the league, where Milton have remained top as they still stand.
There was blustery conditions with the wind sweeping down the park and the park itself was heavy and uneven. Milton had the wind at they're backs in the 1st half but seemed to lack the string of passes that they are used to, with the weather being a factor in this and the ball being overhit.
It took Milton until the 21st min before they opened the scoring. Jordan Brown side stepping passed 2 Armadale player before hitting home from 23 yds.
The rest of the first half seemed to pass by with Milton ruing chances and Armadale being resilient in defence.
Half Time: Armadale SC Colts 0-1 Milton 98s
The 2nd half was only 2 mins in when Armadale were awarded a penalty for a debatable handball. The player stepped up and equalised from the spot.
Milton tried to step up the play but Armadale players competed for every ball and were making it difficult in stages of this match.
Milton did double the lead with Jordan Brown getting his 2nd of the game from 14yds.
It took Milton until the 72nd min to put the game beyond doubt with Adam Beirne latching onto the ball from close range.
Two minutes later Adam Beirne became provider when he lobbed the ball over the defence for Scott Duncan to hit home from 15 yds.
Milton got a little scare on the final min when a Armadale ball split the Milton defence with 3 players behind to score with a hint of offside.
With 6 games remaining the West Lothian league is in Milton's hands with a few difficult fixtures in front of us.
Players men of the match: Danny Holmes and Jordan Brown
Full Time: Armadale SC Colts 2-4 Milton 98s
