Milton continued their winning ways against a Whitburn team who always make it a difficult fixture for Milton.
Unfortunately today Whitburn could only field 10 players and to their credit put up a good fight.
Whitburn held out until the 24th min when Callum Rodger played an excellent ball over the top for Adam Beirne to latch onto and fire it past the keeper from 7yds. Milton doubled the lead on 35 mins when team Captain Scott Duncan hit a screamer from 26yds that hit the underside of the bar and into the net.
5 mins later it was no.3 for Milton after a corner whipped in by Jordan Brown was met by the head of Marc Rodger from 4 yds.
Half Time: Milton 98s 3-0 Whitburn
Milton throughout the 1st half missed a host of chances and Whitburn also came close on a couple of occasions, but the 2nd half was only 6 mins in when Abdul Nadeem crossed the ball in for Scott Duncan to get his 2nd of the match from 10yds.

4 mins later and Adam Beirne got his 2nd of the game with a left foot drive from 18yds passed the keepers right hand side.
Milton as expected dominated possession but it took until the 72nd min to break down a Whitburn defence for no,6 after they became resilient. Scott Duncan got his hat trick when he netted from close range.
On the 76th min from a Milton free kick by Jordan Brown which was met by the head of a Whitburn player into his own net with Jack Honeyman claiming it brushed off him on the way in.
3 mins later and Jordan Brown was involved again when he did a solo run similar to last week and rifled it past the keeper.
All credit to the Whitburn team for battling for 80 mins and to the goalkeeper who did some outstanding saves. Milton remain top in their pursuit for league success and are away to Armadale next week.

Players men of the match was Jordan Brown and James Harvey.
Full Time: Milton 98s 8-0 Whitburn
