A hard fought match at Queensferry in challenging conditions with strong gale force winds and heavy rain. Kirkliston chose to play with the wind behind from the start.
It was a very tight game with most of the play in the Dalkeith half. A couple of chances fell early on but poor finishing meant the opening goal was delayed.
Ross Smith was brought on with 5 mins to play in the half and worked wonders. A good pass through to Ryan Forrest on the edge of the box and he proceed to finish this with a good strike to make it 1-0 at half time.
Half Time: Kirkliston South Queensferry 1-0 Dalkeith CYP
The second half was much the same. Dalkeith pressed hard to score a equaliser but Fraser Glass collected a loose ball in midfield and broke away from the half way line to run on to goal and finish to make it 2-0.
Dalkeith again put pressure on our back four  to win a corner. It wasn't cleared and Dalkeith scored. After that Kirkliston strengthened their midfeild to prevent Dalkeith scoring a second goal and managed to hold out for a 2-1 win.
