Milton sitting pretty after away win

Milton this week were on league duty away to Mid Calder. Previously in the season Milton were triumphant in this fixture but were taking nothing for granted today.
 
Milton started the game brightly and were dominant from the whistle but it took 19 mins for Milton to open the scoring. Callum Roger whipped in a corner that was met by Joe Tortolano from close range to knock it past the stranded goalkeeper. 

Milton continued to dominate and settled the play after the first goal, and on the 24th min, doubled the lead when a excellent defence spltting pass by Joe Tortolano to Edward McKenna who lobbed the goalkeeper from 19yds.

Mid Calder were still giving Milton some issues but these were being dealt with comfortably. Milton's 3rd goal came on the 39th min after a ball over from Scott Duncan was met by Joe Tortolano 15yds out to fire it home for his 2nd of the game.

The 2nd half started In the same fashion as the 1st. Milton were at a almost full squad and the coaches were able to give all the squad a good run out.

On 51 minutes Milton got goal number 4, a cross from Adam Beirne was met by Abdul Nadeem to score from close range.

Three minuntes later and the game was well out of site for Mid Calder after Jordan Browns drive from 14 yds for number 5. Only minutes later and it was 6, Jordan became provider when he crossed from the left for Adam Beirne to header home from 4 yds.

Milton showed dominance in all areas of the park today, and despite the scoreline Mid Calder were still battling hard, but it was again Milton the stretched the lead after Ewen MacDonald scored on his debut, hitting home from 13 yds.

On the 76th min Mid Calder pulled back a consolation goal for their efforts which they tried from the start to the final whistle and were a credit. 

Milton then added their final goal, Abdul Nadeem getting his second of the game with a solo effort going past the keeper from 12yds to round off a great display from Milton.
