This week league leaders Milton entertained Broxburn Athletic at Bannockburn. Broxburn defeated Milton in the regional cup with a shock win a few weeks ago, and Milton were determined to not let this happen again.

Milton put pressure on the visitors early on and were rewarded after 12 minutes when Morgan Reid did an excellent solo run meandering past 3 Broxburn players to rifle it past the goalkeepers left hand side from 21 yards.

Broxburn began to settle into the match and with both teams playing excellent football, it made for a great game for the spectators.
On the run up to half time, Milton were having more of the ball but both teams were cancelling each other out.
Half Time: Milton 98s 1-0 Broxburn Athletic Colts

The second half started with Broxburn coming out the traps and closing down quicker and putting pressure on Milton. The equaliser came on the 48 minutes when the Broxburn striker got in behind the Milton defence to slot it past the advancing keeper.

This was short lived as Milton regained the lead 5mins later when Abdul Nadeem brushed past 2 Broxburn defenders on the right hand side of the box and squared it to Jordan Brown to smash it past the keeper from 14yds.

The match continued with both teams pressing but Milton having more of the play. Credit to Broxburn who played good football and pushed for the equaliser, but the Milton team held it together to keep their unbeaten league run going to 14 games and remain undefeated in the league this season.

Players men of the match. Morgan Reid and Jordan Brown.

Next Sunday we have another table topping match at home to Murieston United,

Milton wish Broxburn all the best for the rest of the season.
