Newcraighall Leith Vics striker John Robertson notched a first-half hat-trick as the Division 1 side proved too strong for second-tier Hutchison Vale Colts, ending up 6-0 winners as they marched into the last-eight of the Trans World Soccer Scottish Cup.
The little forward was instrumental in his side's victory along with midfielder Jordan Daily who was a constant threat down the wing.
Robertson was gifted his first opportunity of the match from a free-kick just 5 minutes in after Mark Tenant  was fouled on the edge of the box. The forward's shot struck the wall and skewed his rebound wide, but it wasn't long before he got the opening goal.
Finlay Connor found the striker in the box from the right flank after Robertson had found space and the striker headed into the net with Hutchie goalkeeper Cameron Bryce rooted to the spot.
Less than a minute later and Robertson doubled Vics' lead when he executed the simplest of finishes from little over 4 yards out.
The home side were given a scare not long after through, when their keeper Tyler McGee picked up a pass-back and the referee awarded Hutchie an in-direct free-kick.Newcraighall got all their players on the goal line as they formed a collective wall and it worked. Theo MacGuire's shot was initially blocked before his rebound was gathered by McGee.
Robertson got his third late in the first-half with another simple finish after Daily found his teammate with an inch-perfect cross.

The home side were in confident mood as they reappeared for the second-half and this confidence was transferred into their play as they passed the ball around comfortably without fear.
Harrison Lamb, Hutchie's centre-half wasn't going to let Vics increase their lead though and he slid in tremendously to halt Robertson in his tracks as he was about to strike inside the box.
Bryce was also keen to prevent Newcraighall from extending their lead and he dived expertly to claw away Arran Bathgate's goal-bound header as the home side looked to put the tie out of sight.
The goalkeeper was unlucky to concede a penalty shortly after when he brought down Robertson. The striker ran into the box and looked to have taken a heavy touch as Bryce rushed out of goal, before diving at the feet of Robertson - but the striker got to the ball first and lifted it over the keeper and Bryce collided with him. From the penalty spot Daily found the bottom corner to make it 4-0.
Lamb was still giving his all for Hutchie and he produced almost a complete replica of his previous challenge to deny Puerto Rican Yrick Gallantes who was ready to strike but the defender waded in with another superb tackle.
Bathgate added a fifth for Vics with ten minutes remaining as he pounced in the box with a sliding strike to put the ball into the net via the hand of Bryce.
With Hutchie having failed to trouble McGee and sub keeper Adam Taylor, the home side continued to venture forward and they wrapped up the scoring with their sixth of the match late-on. Colin McKinnon did brilliantly to latch onto Bathgate's through ball and he did even better with his finish - lifting the ball over Bryce with a delightful flick of his boot, just as the keeper dived at his feet.

Little striker John Robertson's positioning in the first-half was unbelievable. The forward got himself into dangerous areas to finish at ease from well worked crosses. In the second-half he dropped back a little and but was still dangerous.
Harrison Lamb was incredible at the back for Hutchie. He showed great determination to fight for his side and without his two brave tackles, Hutchie might have found themselves on the end of a heavier scoreline.
Magic Moment

Jordan Robertson's chip over Hutchie's Bryce for the penalty showed an awareness well above his years as he anticipated the challenge the keeper was about to make.
Either one of Lamb's tackles were special amongst a poor overall Hutchie performance.
