The Falkirk player was on fire in the second half. She nearly completed her hat trick in the 41st minute, but her shot hit the post.
Eddie completed her hat trick, and brought the score to 6-0 two minutes later. She found herself one on one with the goalkeeper and Eddie calmly passed the ball into the back of the net.
With 13 minutes remaining, it was McEarchran’s turn to complete her hat-trick. She placed the ball into the bottom left corner, after a great through ball put her through on goal.
Celtic Tayside had a few chances to pull a goal back in the final ten minutes. Shaylen Anderson directed the ball wide of the left post after Megan Robb’s low cross.
In stoppage time, Taylor Hamill scored Falkirk’s eighth goal. Orla King’s corner was volleyed in by Hamill.
That was not the last action of the match. Celtic Tayside finally got their goal with one of the last kicks of the match. Robb powered the ball low into the net from 10 yards.
The damage had already been done a long time before that, but Robb will have been pleased to have got a goal for her team against such good opponents.
As for Falkirk, the club’s academy keeps producing some of the most talented players in Scotland and they will be confident of retaining their Scottish Cup crown.

fair coverage here on the game in general. have to disagree with star player selected for Celtic Tayside. Thought their captain Shaney McCabe was by far their best player on the day. She covered all areas of the pitch. Setting players up for Celtic and she was more than likely the player who who was breaking up the Falkirk attacks. The commentary on YFS Radio would back this up.
