On Friday in the Central region, John Ogilvie play Airdrie Academy in the LSFA Final (Under 16’s), and Clydebank host Rangers SABC in the West region (Under 17’s)

Going South East, it’s no surprise to see Tynecastle and Spartans in a final, as the sides compete for the Lothian Buses Cup (Under 13’s). This is followed by the Under 14’s Kenny McLean Cup Final between runaway Division 1 leaders Tynecastle and Hutchison Vale.

On Saturday we’re at the Reamonn Gormley Soccer Festival at Hamilton Palace Sports Ground. This event, hosted by Blantyre BC, has something for everyone with Fun 4’s for the 2005-2007 age groups, Soccer Sevens from 2002-2004’s and 11 a-side from 1996’s to 2001’s. The younger age groups will start the event off on Saturday with the Under 12’s, 13’s and 14’s joining on Sunday. The following teams are involved:

Blantyre BC, EKYC, Yett Farm, Cambusnethan, EKFC, Celtic, Mill United, Cambuslang, Bargeddie, Burnbank BC, Pumas, Wishaw WW, Rossvale, Falkirk, Linwood, Aston Villa, East End, Drumsagard, Eddiewood, Claremont, EK Calderglen, Moorlands, Larkhall, Strathaven and Coatshill.

We’ll also be visiting the Kier Hardie Sports Centre for the annual Summer football festival hosted by Holytown Colts YC. Over 500 children and 300 adults are expected to be participating over the two days.

The following teams will be competing at Holytown across the age groups: Holytown Colts, Dumbarton, Mossend, Kirkwood, Cambelltown, Yett Farm, Milan BC, Scotland BC, Jerviston, EKFC, Wishaw WW, Dunbeth, Mill United, Cumbernauld Colts, Motherwell Pheonix, EK Caley Thistle, Burntisland, Moorlands, Cambuslang, Shotts AFC, Woodhall AFC, Cambusnethan Talbot and Coatdrie Colts.

We will also have coverage from the following events across the country: Heston Rovers Football Festival, 28th Lenzie Festival, Bellfield 7-a-side Festival, Giffnock International Football Festival and the Jim Hastie Festival of Football.

Moving away from tournament action and back to cup finals, we’ll have coverage from the following FVFDA ties: Young Falkirk v Stenhousemuir ICT (Under 14’s), Milan BC v Riverside Red (Under 15’s) and Larbert Athletic v Clackmannan Colts (Under 17’s).

In the South West region, Tass Thistle are in a trio of finals at Dam Park. The Under 13’s play Tass Juniors, followed by Tass Thistle v Tass Thistle Braves at Under 15’s level. Lenzie YC are the Under 16’s opponents. The CAYFA finals are Stewarton Annick v West Kilbride (Under 14’s) and KSC United v Troon Thistle (Under 16’s).

Saturday also sees an end to the West region finals at Petershill Park in Glasgow. First up is Arsenal BC v St Peters (Under 14’s), which is followed by Hamilton Accies Inverclyde v Barrhead YFC (Under 17’s) and West Park United v Rossvale (under 19’s).

The top 2 in the ADJFA League A, Albion BC and Dyce BC, contest in the SR Wood Trophy Final on Sunday (Under 14’s). CBC Hilton face Colony Park (Under 19’s).

The SYFA South East take on SYFA West in both Under 15’s and 16’s age groups.

On Monday, Meldrum play Peterhead (Under 13’s), Inverurie meet Banchory (Under 14’s) and it’s Braidhurst HS v Taylor HS (Under 15’s).
