In a decent tough battling performance from both teams, United had the better chances in the first half, twice Kahl Kirton had efforts well saved by Colts keeper Liam Wilson and another chance was fired past with just Wilson to beat. Although Broxburn played some nice attacking football, they failed to test Robert Little in the United goal.

Half Time: Polbeth United 0-0 Broxburn Athletic Colts

Broxburn again were attacking well, and Andy Drysdale broke forward leaving three defenders in his wake but fired his effort wide. Declan Kerr then went close twice but again no direct save required from Little. Polbeth wasted another good chance, beating last man to race in on keeper Wilson but they scuffed their shot wide. Broxburn finally got their first shot on target, Marcus Millar's free-kick was parried by keeper Little before being cleared. Polbeth went close again, with Wilson punching a corner away from the top corner. Into the final ten minutes, a free-kick into the box from Kyle Butt was headed into Little's arms by Millar. Broxburn finally did score six minutes from time. Jamie Henderson's cross from the byline was palmed into the air by Little and as the ball dropped at the back post Kerr was on hand to fire home. As time ticked down, Polbeth had a couple of direct free-kicks and a chance to salvage something from the game but the Colts were able to hold on for a good victory!
