U16's Scottish Cup 2nd round
Forrester HS
It was an eventful game at Forrester HS, as second division side Edinburgh United shocked first division side Salvesen after a thrilling penalty shoot-out in the Scottish Cup second round.

Salvesen started the brighter and took the lead early on in the first half. But United replied after some good work in the midfield, Callum Sutherland played Khalid Al-Ani in, and the striker coolly slotted the ball in the back of the net. Salvesen were then shocked when a mix up in their defence allowed Al-Ani to run in and score his Second of the game.

Half time: Salvesen 1-2 Edinburgh United

It was a very scrappy second half with Salvesen having the better of possession and their persistence payed off near the end as they equalised, forcing the game into Extra Time.

Full time: Salvesen 2-2 Edinburgh United

Into extra time they went, and there was no real chances in the twenty minutes as everyone set their sights onto penalties.

After five penalties it was 3-3, Sutherland and Scally missing for united as the game went into sudden death. It was up to the Salvesen goalkeeper to keep his team in the Scottish Cup, but United keeper Ben Smyth had other ideas as he saved and sent the Second Division side into the 3rd round

Final score: Salvesen 2-2 Edinburgh United (7-8 pens)
