Under 13's SE Regional Cup
Livingston travelled through to Haddington this morning to play in the 1st round of the South East Regional Cup. A fine morning for football on a big pitch perfect for our boys to play their football on.

Livingston started the match in the ascendancy and it wasn't long before they were ahead, Fraser firing past the keeper from 20 yards. The team have a great confidence about them just now and it showed throughout the remainder of the first half, Livi scored some excellent goals. Fraser got 2 more, Jack and Darragh 1 apiece and Euan got 2, his second was a thing of beauty, chipping the ball past the helpless keeper after a fine move.

Haddington got a goal back after a fine through ball was finished expertly by their centre forward. Livingston's football in the first half was a continuation of the Scottish cup match with some of the play on the wings superb, down the right Ciaran, Jack, Kian and Fraser linked very well and on the left Calum, Rayaan, Sam, Lewis A and Euan combined with devastating effect. Cammie and Dylan both had a run out in each half and coped comfortably with Haddingtons attacks, Lewis C and Harry were once again rock solid at the back with Des and Darragh dominating the middle of the park.

Half time – Haddington Athletic 1-7 Livingston FC BC

The second half started the same as the first with the Livi boys on the attack, however a change of keeper for the home side and a determination from the Haddington lads to get something out the game kept them at bay for a longer period.

Eventually after good work down the right by Lewis and Kian, Jack was on hand to stab the ball home and make it 1-8. Haddington pulled a goal back after a wonder save by Dylan was judged by the ref be over the line, so unlucky! This however only encouraged the Livi boys to push on and after a good corner by Ciaran, Jack was on hand once again to head past the keeper. They pushed for more goals, with Lewis, Sam, Rayaan and Fraser all going close before we were eventually awarded a penalty and it was Ciaran who stepped up to fire the ball past the keeper with ease.

The ref awarded a late penalty to Haddington and Cammie was unlucky diving to his right as the ball rolled past him into the net.

Full time – Haddington Athletic 3-9 Livingston FC BC

This was to be the end of the scoring in another entertaining match, the Livi boys were on top form again with some delightful passing moves throughout the match. They have really taken to playing 11 a side football very quickly and I think you can be nothing but impressed with their application, discipline, effort and the wonderful team spirit that is building within the squad. Well played boys!
