Two teams from the same club were matched together in a Division 2 fixture, as league leaders Currie Star FC looked to strengthen their seven point advantage against their neighbours Currie Star Colts, who were sitting in mid-table looking for a result to climb the rankings.

The game started with immediate domination from Currie Star FC as they scored twice in the first 10 minutes, first from Harris Dracup who got on the end of a low cross from Callum Ritchie, and Marcus Forbes who picked up a misplaced defensive pass and finished to start off at 2-0.

Currie Star Colts responded right away as Lewis Muego hit an incredible strike from the right wing that dipped into the bottom left corner to make the score 2-1.

Currie Star FC managed to score again, after 20 minutes, as Josh Brock took a freekick from around 45 yards out and managed to score. However, it was disallowed as Colts were awarded a free kick, themselves, inside the box.

The Colts had a couple of chances afterwards but were not able to equalise before half time.

Currie Star Colts started the half off greatly as Jakub Odolzyk played a great ball through to Cameron Littlejohn, who beat the 'keeper one-on-one with great pace, before finishing into an open net and evening the game up to 2-2.

The Colts were very unlucky in the following minutes as a ball over the top from Currie Star FC led to Blair McDonald lobbing his own keeper giving the top of the table team the lead.

A series of chances came for the Colts as both Muego and Jamie Slawson had good chances to score but were unable to beat in-form keeper Aaron Hamilton.

Their closest chance of the game came from Odolzyk, who took a tremendous shot from range that rebounded off the crossbar and into the box, where Joseph Sadler put the ball in his own net but was saved by the call of the referee, as there was a push in the back.

Currie Star Colts finally managed to get back in the game again, though it was in an unglamorous way. A defensive mix up, between Hamilton and Brock, led to the ball being kicked into their own goa andl making the scores even for the second time in the game.

The last five minutes of the game were very intense as both teams looked to score. Many chances came for both teams but the most notable was the last play of the game, for Currie Star FC, as a cross from the right wing left William Aitken one-on-one with the 'keeper.  However, Andrew Treschman made an incredible save before blocking the rebound from Aitken on the goal line, magnificently ending the game with a draw.

Treschman's double save in the final moments of the game was an amazing end to a great match and left everyone in awe.
Dracups goal in the first few minutes was a great team goal. Ritchie made a great run on the wing before playing it to Dracup, who had made a perfect run into the box to finish the goal.
