Fixture: Craigroyston v Fernieside
Competition: Under 13's Polar Foods Cup Semi Final
Craigroyston showed their intentions early on with a few attacks down the Fernieside left, taking the match to their opponents.
The home side were making hard work of the chances that fell to them as both Ben and Max seemed to have left their shooting boots at home, however the pair never let their heads drop.
Midway through the first half Craigroyston got the all important breakthrough, from a delightful corner from Christopher Bell which was met square with a bullet header by Stevo to put Craigroyston 1-0 up.
Half Time : Craigroyston 1-0 Fernieside
In the second half Craigroyston began to dominate and perhaps should have been a few goals ahead.
A well worked throw in on the Fernieside left was worked between Tyler Mckinlay and Ryan Adamson which lead to a shot from Ben Hunter which hit the post, before running along the line, where Jamie Mcewan was waiting to slot the ball home, however a last ditch tackle prevented Craigroyston from doubling their lead.
A magnificant run from Tyler saw him fly up the right wing, beating at least five players before unleashing an unstoppable shot which flew into the back of the net to make it 2-0.
