So you think you can referee from your arm Chair? Why not give it a go for real?
Referee course, Aberdeen, January 2015.
The next referee course commences on Wednesday 14th January 2015 at 7.00pm. This will take place at, The Grammar FPS Clubs, Queens Road, Aberdeen. The class will run for eight weeks at a cost of £45 per person which includes all training material and membership to the Association until the end of Season 2015/16.
The coaching instructor, Roddy Cobb has a wealth of experience as a referee, and is a former member of the SFA List of Senior Referees. He has lengthy experience as a member of the coaching team. Roddy will also be supported by other experienced senior referees.
Anybody who is interested in this should follow the link to our website where you can register your interest. This class is open to everyone, both male and female over the age of sixteen.
We also run a referee in focus from our website each month. This month David Maclennan was selected. David operates in youth football, notably taking part in the Dennis Law soccer tournament as well as officiating in a promotion play off final himself within youth football. He also referees in the Club Academy Scotland set up ran by the SFA involving Aberdeen Football Club.
Further to that, we also had a team of Referees who all operate within Youth Football officiating at the Transworld Scottish Cup semi final 2013/14 1997’s between Syngenta Juveniles v Antonine Football Club at the Falkirk stadium consisting of referee Ka Kuen Mo, assistant's David Rae and Miroslav Kackiewicz and fourth official Chris Trainer.
The notable appointment within Youth Football last season was Bob Alexander officiating the Under 16’s Final at Airdrie between Rossvale Thistle and Hutchison Vale.
