Deveronvale now know that victories against Dyce on Saturday and Westdyke on Thursday night will crown them as league champions once again after losing their crown they won at Under 14's level to Dyce last season.

Braces from Jordi Walker, Kieran Cowie and Nikolas Milne did the trick with Craig Brown getting a consolation for Colony in the final minute in what was a convincing display by Vale before they welcome Dyce to Portsoy on Saturday.

The referee arrived late but once the match started Vale hit Colony on the backfoot in the opening stages and got the breakthrough after just 6 minutes after Jordi Walker sent in a delightful ball which was met by Kieran Cowie who placed it low and hard past Tristan Ross.

Walker then put in another dangerous ball which was met by striker Jody Munro who volleyed the ball towards goal wit his 1st touch and it went over the bar.

The Banffers then went 2-0 up and Jordi Walker went from scorer to provider after he met a great ball from Paul Sutherland and took it down before placing low and hard past Ross.

It was to get worse for Colony after Andrew Smart was given an early shower by the referee after a two footed lunge on Kieran Cowie and it was going to give the Inverurie men a mountain to climb.

Just before half time Colony had a chance to pull one back after Daniel Littlejohn played the ball into Nathan May who tried his luck but Gavin Still was alert and dived down to save.

Half Time: Deveronvale FC 2-0 Colony Park

Jordi Walker was a threat to the Colony defence in the 1st half and he continued where he left off and he was the assist once again in the 3rd goal after sending in a great ball from the left hand side which was met by Kieran Cowie who kept a cool head and slotted it into the bottom left hand corner.

The hosts kept pressing at Colony and made it 4-0 soon after in the 62nd minute after Malcolm Maitland played a through ball into Aaron Garden who then played a precision ball from the left hand flank to Jordi Walker who squeezed the ball into an empty net.

The Vale coaching staff then ran in the changes to try something different and it saw one of the subs Nikolas Milne get in on the act first by knocking in a rebound after his first effort had been saved. Milne then followed it up by meeting a cross by Malcolm Maitland and giving the keeper no chance by slotting the ball low and hard.

In the final minute Colony were to get a goal back after a long ball by Evan McDonald was met by sub Craig Brown who got on the end of poor defending by Vale to slot it home past Still in the Vale goal.
