Colony Park travelled today to Fraserburgh for their latest league match looking to protect their unbeaten record. Both the uneven pitch and overhead windy conditions did not help either team to play football today.

Neither team ceated much chances in the opening 15 minutes with scrappy play being played in the stong wind.

20 minutes gone and Colony broke the deadlock with a great run and finish from Adam Smith, his 60th of the season from the on form striker.

5 minutes after Fraserburgh equalised after Colony failed to clear a loose ball in the box, the home striker Ryan Sargent giving MacDonald no chance with a shot into the corner.

Colony regained the lead not long after with a great piece of football between Smith and Beattie down the left and with Lewis putting a great ball into the box it left Jamie Reid to run in at the back post and score a good goal.

Fraserburgh battled back once again and equalised 5 minutes before the break with again the Colony defence failing to clear their lines and Sargent striking again.

Just on the half time whistle Colony were awarded a penalty after some neat footwork in the box from Adam Smith led to him being taken down. Alix Cheyne confidently stepped up and blasted it high into the back of the net despite a strong wind against him giving Colony a 3-2 half time lead.

Half Time: Fraserburgh Link-Up 2-3 Colony Park

The second half was a disappointing display by both teams with very little chances created throughout the half.

Colony gave away a third goal 20 minutes into the second period to make the score 3-3, Jordan McLean the goalscorer.

Substitute keeper Dylan Faskin made a couple of saves in the latter stages of the game to keep the match all square.

In summary it was a match today that the boys never really got going, which to fair to them was very different to what they have been doing this season so far so with a busy match schedule planned for the next two weeks important they get back to form.
