Deveronvale Under 15s Girls completed the double last Saturday as they won the league beating Westdyke Girls 6-0 adding to the NRGFL League Cup they have already got in their trophy cabinet after beating rivals Aberdeen who pushed Vale all the way to the league title 2-1, The Banffers won the league on goals scored when the two teams have faced each other.

The game went ahead after a 9.30 pitch inspection kicking off in wintry conditions, Vale created the first chance with the first attack of the game after Nairne McAllans shot scuffed off the crossbar and out for a Westdyke goal kick.

McAllan did put Vale a goal to the good just moments later after Milly Johnstone feeded the ball into the forward who was in a really good position to open the scoring.

Vale went 2-0 up on eight minutes after McAllan got on the end of a Kirstie Gordon cross to steer the ball past Emma Simpson in the Westdyke goal.

The 3rd goal for Vale didn't arrive until the 30th minute after Smith put in a dangerous ball which caught Simpson in the Westdyke goal out and made sure the Banffers had a good lead going into half time.

Vale started the second half playing some really good football again and had another chance after McAllan shot just wide after a Sophie Palmer cross.

Vale then got their 4th goal on 45 minutes after Donna Paterson's deadly left foot strike was deflected past the Westdyke goalkeeper by her own defender.

Five minutes later it was 5-0 after Kirstie Gordon took the ball for a short walk before guiding the ball past the Westdyke keeper low and hard.

Nichol had been working all afternoon for a goal and she got her rewards after netting a rebound from Sophie Palmer's shot which came into the feet of Nichol whose shot came off the right hand post and she finished the job off for the winners.
