Dryburgh hold on for points despite nervous end

Dryburgh hosted Dundee Celtic in a Dundee & District YFA Under 15’s match. The first half belonged to the home team who were 3-0 up before the break, from goals from Reece Jordan, Justin McCabe and Ben Edmonds. After the break Dundee Celtic began to play and got 2 goals within 15 minutes of half time. Dundee Celtic applied a lot of pressure but Dryburgh held on to win 3-2.    
The match kicked off at a frantic tempo with a goal after just 2 minutes for Dryburgh. The goal came after a well worked short corner and Reece Jordan volleyed it in.
Dryburgh made it 2-0 in the 5th minute through Justin McCabe. The ball was whipped in and he diverted the ball into the net.

Dryburgh scored again in the 30th minute. Ben Edmonds showing great footwork to beat a player, then shows great finishing ability to curl the ball round the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.

After the sides switched ends Dryburgh were now shooting uphill. Dundee Celtic used the downhill advantage and pulled two goals back in quick succession. The first coming from a set piece in the 55th, the free kick was swung in and lofted over the goalkeeper by a player at the front post.

The second came two minutes later with a header from a well swung in corner.

Dundee Celtic applied a lot of pressure but Dryburgh held on to win 3-2.
