U15 SYFA Challenge Cup - R3
Cove made the trip south today to take on Fife outfit Leven and sealed their place in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup after an emphatic 6-1 victory over the hosts.

The Aberdeen outfit have been good in the competition in the past few years and last year saw them crash out to Fauldhose Foxes in the third round who won the Scottish Cup back in 2011.

There was a hero today in the team in Drew Canale who managed to bag four goals with Daniel Cooper and Robert Wilson making sure the Aberdeen side were in the next round of the Scottish Cup.

Cove coach Ludie Barrack was tonight delighted with the victory he said "We are delighted to be coming back to Aberdeen with a win and it is good that we have managed to go one further round than we did last year."

Barrack added "It was not an easy game like the scoreline would have suggested and we could have easily of scored a few more goals only for a few good saves from the Leven keeper, it is great for us being a B league side that we are in the fourth round."

Cove Under 16s were due to be in Scottish Cup action today but there match against Easthouses BC at Portlethen Academy was forced to be postponed last night following some wintry weather in the North East, that match will now take place next Saturday with the possiblity that there will be two Coves continuing on the Road to Airdrie.
