Dyce BC Under 15s
Colony Park Under 15s
Competition: ADJFA League A
Date: 03/04/2012
A beautiful summers day started with the pitch being totally covered in snow and unplayable. However after four visits during the day, by the time kick off came around the pitch was clear and in good condition.
We had three players missing for various reasons and therefore only named 15 for the game, with the line up as follows.
We had  talked before the game about getting early chances and getting goals on the board and for once we nearly got this. Within the first minute, good pressing by Danny left him running onto the keeper and he tried to place it into the corner from the edge of the box, but just pushed it wide.
However this set the tone of the first half with the boys pressing hard, playing some great football, and Kyle and Lewis having space out wide to drive and get some good crosses in that we couldn’t get on the end of. However at least we were making their keeper work and playing football the right way!
Finally we broke the deadlock. Good work again by Kyle done the right and a cross into Danny’s feet. Danny showed great composure to lay the ball back to JOHN, who rifled the ball into the bottom corner.
Dyce were certainly on top and pressing and should have got a second right on half time. Again great work by Kyle, driving down the line and cutting in seeing Greg free on the penalty spot. Greg had time to rifle it home but only managed to place it into the keepers arms, with some comments of ‘that was like a doo with a jimmy on’!
Half Time: Dyce BC Under 15s 1-0 Colony Park Under 15s
Second half saw Darren replace Kris and we asked the boys to go out and do the same. However Colony deserve huge credit for keeping trying to play football, and not just defend in numbers. This lead to Colony having a spell where they were on top pressurising our defence, but again they stood firm at everything that was thrown at them.
We finally got hold of the game and midfield again with all the subs now on, we were back creating chances at the other end. However just as we thought we wouldn’t get a second, a great corner from Jordan found KYLE at the back post to header home and seal the victory
Full Time: Dyce BC Under 15s 2-0 Colony Park Under 15s
I really can’t criticise any of the boys who all individually played well, but it is just linking it all together that is required. Well done to the defence for yet another clean sheet, with Grant again not saving a save to make.
Again well done to Colony for coming and playing proper football and making it a good game, as opposed to sitting in and hoping for luck. They played well and we wish all the boys and Derek and his team, all the best for the rest of the season.
