Banks O'Dee sealed their fate winning the A league title with a 1-1 draw against Cove Youth, after stringing together a streak of wins against teams around them and at the bottom, it was going to be a case of when rather than if the league title was heading to Spain Park.

Cove, got to the Scottish Cup final last season and have enjoyed a fantastic season despite not having any silverware to match, Mark Robb's side played some very good football and have caught the eye amongst many this campaign. They still have some developing to do with regards to growth.

The visitors had the first real chance of the game through the talented Mark Scott who gave Albion problems in front of goal, a good effort from the forward was denied by Owen Forsyth.

Chances were end to end for both teams with Albion next trying their luck in front of goal, a ball by Stevie Livingstone found Scott Milne who volleyed towards goal however the shot ended up out of Spain Park and hitting the seagull. Josh Robb had a free kick at the other end thwarted by Forsyth.

Albion got into the game as the half progressed, Sam Walker was a machine in the middle of the park for the hosts and he twisted and turned past the Cove defence before a solo effort was turned away by Lloyd Sharp in the Cove goal.

Sharp did his bit to make sure it was 0-0 going into half time saving a close range effort by Rory Anderson before Marcel Okeakawa tried his luck from the edge of the box which Sharp dealt with. Mark Scott had the final chance of the half for Cove however it went wide.

Banks O'Dee Albion had a terriffic opportunity to make it 2-0 on 55 minutes with a free kick by Stevie Livingstone saved by Lloyd Sharp, Cove kicked on towards the end of the game in a half dominated by a lack of desire from either team to play on the deck football.

Cove equalised on 61 minutes, a fantastic ball found its way to Mark Scott who broke into the box before finding the roof of the net past Owen Forsyth with a great effort to guide Cove level and give themselves a deserved share of the spoils.

Full time and it finished 1-1 with Banks O'Dee Albion doing enough on the night to warrant them league champions however Cove did give them a battling game of football with both teams playing the right way. Congratulations to Banks O'Dee Albion Under 14s on winning the league. After a transition season last campaign, coaches Kenny Clubb and Roger Ross have kicked on this season and are a joy to watch.
