Peterhead Under 14s seal promotion

Written by

Peterhead BC won promotion to the A league at Under 14s finishing a clear eight points clear of West End in second place with 15 wins, two draws and one defeat. This was a big improvement for the Buchan side who finished sixth last season. It has been a fantastic season for all involved!

Blue Toon coach Kevin Cunningham spoke about his sides achievements when he said: "We set out what we wanted to achieve at the start of the season, to get promoted to the A league and winning the league was the icing on the cake."

"There were quite a few stand out games, but probably the one that stood out the most was our home game to West End, the only team at the time that could still pip us to the title, we played so well that night, a total team performance from start to finish, winning the game 5-0."

"We have a lot of talent at all the age groups, including the development teams and not just our team, the Under 19s also won their B League, we will be going into the A league next season with only one goal, to stay in it, anything else will be an great achievement, but I'm quietly confident we will do well."

"All players, parents and supporters are really looking forward to our challenge ahead next season, we have a great home ground that we play out of, Raemoss Park home of Buchanhaven Hearts JFC, we hope to make it the fortress it was for us this season and as a coach I will continue to encourage and help them with their development along the way.

Congratulations to all at Peterhead Boys Club Under 14s on their success and all the very best with your next challenge at Under 15s level in the A League.
