Banks O’Dee Under 17s got their hands on the Highland League East Section title, winning it on goal difference ahead of Inverurie Locos. The Spain Park outfit had won the title for two years running prior to this and some new players had come into the fold this season, however standards were still high.
Banks O’Dee Coach Aggie Gray said, "We didn't panic after the defeat against Fraserburgh, we were 1-0 up at half time and they scored 6 goals in the second half, it was horrible weather that night.
"We played the Under 16s Banks O'Dee Albion team in the last two games of the campaign, they beat Huntly comfortably and could have won by more and they also had a good win against Formartine.
"At the start of the season, we were under a bit of pressure, the chairman told us that he would like to retain the league again for the club after winning it two years in a row previously.
"The Under 20s also won their league and we are the only Junior club represented in this competition so it's good for the club.”
Banks O'Dee will take on either Wick Academy or Clachnacuddin in the Highland League play-off at the end of the season.
