ADJFA Round-Up 21st/22nd April 2018

Under 13s

The A league produced two home wins and two away wins over the weekend. Cove beat Elite 3-2 with Deveronvale beating Formartine 4-2. Banks O’Dee Albion won comfortably at Westdyke and Ellon Meadows triumphed over Dyce 2-1.

B League leaders Culter United secured a great 4-0 win away to Westdyke Thistle, whilst third placed Colony Park slipped up at home to Portlethen, losing 4-2. Second place Peterhead won a thriller at Cove United 6-4, with Banchory beating Fraserburgh Link-Up 3-2. There was also a 5-1 win for Stonehaven over Donside Juvenile.

C League Section 1 winners Northstar Orange finished off their season in fine fashion with a 7-0 win over Newmachar United. Banks O'Dee beat Kemnay 7-4 and there was also a 4-3 win for Mintlaw over Huntly. The top two secured victories in the C League Section 2. Turriff United, the league leaders, won 6-0 against Culter Deeside, with Northstar beating Colony Colts 3-0. Lewis United will meet Elite in the Regional Trophy final with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Middlefield Wasps.

 

Under 14s

Lewis United won the only A league fixture yesterday 3-1 at home to Fraserburgh. B league leaders Peterhead beat Colony Park 3-2 with North Star and Newtonhill drawing 3-3. There were also away wins for Culter Boys and Donside Juvenile.

Newmachar United kept up their fine season in the C League Section 1 with an 8-2 win over Mugiemoss Youth, while Cove drew 2-2 with Aberdon. C League Section 2 saw the section's leading teams Ellon Meadows and Deveronvale both win away from home at Stonehaven and City Youth respectively. Portlethen beat Mintlaw 4-2.

Cup action saw Dyce beat Thistle 4-2 on penalties after nothing separated the teams, West End beat Formartine 6-1 and Banks O’Dee Albion won 4-0 at Westdyke Thistle.

 

Under 15s

Banks O’Dee Albion will meet Stonehaven City in the Belmont Trophy final after securing a 3-2 win over CBC Hilton. A League action saw a 3-2 win for Peterhead Jags, Westdyke beating Colony Park 3-0 and Deveronvale drawing 4-4 with West End Reds.

Stonehaven took advantage of Banchory's 0-0 draw with Newmachar by storming to a 6-0 win at Ellon Meadows, Fraserburgh beat FDS 6-3. The C league saw Huntly beat Kintore United at home with Cove drawing 2-2 with West End United.

 

Under 16s

Cup action saw Fraserburgh Link-Up win 1-0 at Banchory in the second round of the Presidents Cup. Banks O’Dee Albion won 2-1 away to Culter United in the third round of the Castle Trophies Cup. The A league saw Colony Park beat Deveronvale 5-0 with Middlefield Wasps beating Donside Juvenile 3-0.

B league saw Glentanar beat Kemnay 5-2 with further home wins for Portlethen and Westdyke. Byron Thistle won 4-0 at Newmachar United. Culter Thistle won the C League with a 6-0 win at Greyhope.

 

Under 17s

Westdyke reached the Raymond Kelly Association Final with a 2-1 win at Lewis United after extra time after it finished 0-0 after 90 minutes. The A league saw Banks O’Dee Albion win 2-1 at Fraserburgh Link-Up with Peterhead beating Glentanar 5-2 and a 1-1 draw between Westdyke Thistle and Colony Park.

Ellon Meadows won the B League with a 2-1 win away to Huntly, Formartine United beat Stonehaven 4-2 and Longside beat Colony Colts 2-1.

 

Under 19s

Hermes Youth are into the cup final of the Sunnybank Shield with a 4-0 win at Cove. The A league saw ALC Athletic beat Culter Colts 4-2 with away wins for Ellon Meadows and Banks O’Dee Albion.

Peterhead Phoenix will have to wait until Thursday night to try and win the B league title after losing 1-0 at Kemnay. There was 3 home wins for Middlefield Wasps, Stonehaven and Culter Rovers.
