These two teams met on a chilly morning at Spain Park as the sun strived to make its presence known. Albion came into this game on a 7 game winning streak , scoring 64 goals in this streak so far. Formartine on the other hand were sitting in 9th in the A league table. With a respectable -6 goal difference for a team fighting off relegation.

The match kicked off.  Not even two minutes from the start a long ball was sent towards goalkeeper Cheyne in the Formartine goal. He attempted a short pass to his right back. Albion's pressure saw them pick it up off the toes of the defence and Buchan poked it home into the empty net for Albion.

Albion kept pressing as Douglas headed on a corner which cracked off the post and was cleared away. More pressure  from Albion saw Abolfathi getting in on the action.

He was controlling the left wing of the pitch as he had numerous attempts on goal. Good build up passing saw a great ball through to Buchan once again to beat the offside trap as he calmly dispatched it into the side netting across the sprawling Cheyne.

Quick build up saw Buchan through again but this time he was too far out to shoot so passed a great ball into Goldie who headed it into the hands of the Formartine goalkeeper who unfortunately couldn’t keep it out as the ball slipped through his fingers and into the goal.

Buchan once again was causing threat to the Formartine defence as he dribbled and weaved his way through the edge of the 6 yard box. He kindly passed it along to Goldie who was waiting for the tap in.

Formartine were crumbling under the immense pressure from Albion as they attacked again down the right. As the ball was played up the line Mcgeogh put a ball into the box which evaded everyone’s head including the keeper Cheyne as it flew into the net above him. Intentional or not, Mcgeogh sure enjoyed this hit from distance.

The second half began with Formartine coming out of the blocks the faster of the two teams.  Moir, who had shown great skill in the centre of the park found a pass arrive nicely to him and he took on most of the Albion defence before the attack fizzled out.

Formartine did find the net when a loose pass saw Moir pounce and beautifully lob it to the far post and in.

However, their celebrations were silenced when Goldie once again was dribbling rings round the Formartine defence as this time he placed it into the net past Cheyne from close distance after great running.

Albion's pressure continued as substitute Booth was causing trouble down the left side. Yet the goal of the match went to Moir for Albion as he picked the ball up off of Booth and thundered a strike into the top corner from a good 30 yards out, beating Cheyne in the Formartine goal.

Still, Albion came at Formartine with hunger for more goals. Booth was sent in behind the Formartine defence after a great pass from Abolfathi, as he finished into the near corner. A quick fire double followed as Krokowski fired in from close range after a scrappy deflection in the Formartine penalty area. Formartine showed some good pressure towards the end of the match as Spark had two attempts at goal, but to no avail.
