ADJFA Under 15s - Christmas Review 2016

Written by

The ADJFA Under 15s A league is very competitive this season with only 3 points separating Banks O’Dee Albion at the top to Middlefield Wasps who lie in 7th place.

Banks O’Dee Albion are top with Culter United 2nd with Albion playing a game less than United. Colony Park sit in 3rd with last season’s league champions Lewis United Youth in 4th. Park have played a game less than United.

Behind them on 13 points is Banchory Pumas and Fraserburgh Link-Up and Middlefield Wasps are just a point behind however the Wasps have 2 games in hand on the Pumas and 4 games in hand on the Broch and a rise up the table could be on the cards.

Donside Juvenile and Deveronvale will be fighting it out to avoid relegation with Dyce currently bottom after no wins from 9.

Fraserburgh Link-Up coach David Blackhall gave his assessment on the season so far by saying “The season hasn’t been bad for us, we have taken in players from different teams and we are away to Donside on Sunday which will be a hard game.

“We try to give them all a game however keeping everyone happy is hard. All the lads in the team are from the local area and 10 players from the team are in the Fraserburgh FC Development Squad.”

There is also a key battle going on at the top of the  B league with Paul Lawrie Foundation, Formartine United and Glentanar all in contention for silverware.  There is still a lot of games to be played with a mid-table battle between Colony Colts, Kintore, Longside and Stonehaven Madrid.

The bottom three comprises of Westdyke CC, Deveronvale Colts and Ellon Meadows however the latter has only played 1 league game this season.

The C league also has a number of key battles with Byron Thistle, Kemnay, Newmachar and Cove all battling for promotion at the top. The mid table battle will also be interesting between Greyhope, Culter Thistle, Culter Cobras and North Star.

At the bottom it’s Huntly, Stonehaven United and Turriff United with Turriff playing host to Stonehaven this Sunday with big points at stake to avoid the wooden spoon.
