The home side came out early hunting for an early goal. All the early pressure payed off, a scramble outside the penalty area fell to William Almberg who got his shot away quickly and score to give the home side an early 1-0 lead. The hosts carried on with their fantastic start to the game putting a lot of pressure on the visitors giving them no time on the ball.
Almberg had another opportunity to make it 2 when he went on a good run going past a couple of players but unfortunately for him he missed kicked it and it rolled into the keepers hands Glentanar looked hungry for more.
Deveronvale had their first opportunity 7 minutes in when Leyton Boyd had a good effort saved by Reece Main. Glentanar had another good chance when Nathan Bloice’s corner was met by Jan Polanski who failed to hit the target.
It was end to end the game, chance after chance and straight after Polanski missed the chance Deveronvale went up the other and when Oro Taylor went one on one with Reece Main he thought he was going to make it 1-1 but Reece Main stood tall and made a brilliant save to keep his side in front.
Glentanar finally got their second of the match and Almberg also got his brilliant play from Cooper smith down the right allowed him to use his strength to get the better of Jordan Johnstone and when the ball broke loose from his cross, Almberg was alert to tap in
Deveronvale won a free kick 25 yards out, Steven Jaimieson forced Reece Main to make a top drawer save. Only a minute later Main pulled off another brilliant save when Callum Begg took a shot from distance.
