SYFA Cup 2016/17 - U15 R4 draw

Written by
Wednesday saw the Scottish Youth FA draw the ties for the fourth round of the inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup, hot on the heels of a packed weekend of third round action. The last 32 stage will take place on the weekend of November 19th & 20th. It is the penultimate round of the calendar year, with round five scheduled for early December, before the winter break.
Last season's winners EKFC Blue still have a third round tie to negotiate, against Cumnock, if they are to take on Syngenta Juveniles in the last 32. Both sides met in the latter stages of the competition last year and it would be arguably the tie of the round.
Without a doubt the trip of the round is Donside Juveniles' 340 mile round trip to visit Oban Saints. Their journey will take them right through the Scottish Highlands, making it not just the longest but probably one of the most picturesque journeys possible in the competition. On the park, it will give one of their two sides the chance to reach an unprecedented stage of the national cup.
Edinburgh City produced a fine performance to knock out top Central Region side Cumbernauld Colts on their own turf in the third round. Their reward is a derby against a Tynecastle side which reached the final two seasons ago. BSC Glasgow (pictured, right) take on Blue Brazil.
Spartans are the only team at any age group of this season's competition to still have two teams in contention. Their first string host Culter United and the Colts are up against Stirling City. An exciting day of football at Ainslie Park.
To round off this review, we have a derby to look forward to. Jerviston's tie against Blantyre will certainly have the locals excited.
